The 16 year old is up now and talking. The doctors all said they rarely see such extensive damage done when the patient survives. They think his survival is a miracle. Traces of ice were found in his system. He had got in with the wrong crowd and was headed down that nowhere path of self destruction. He rarely had seen his father but last time they were in contact he was in jail. He obviously after that thought I'll follow in my father's footsteps and go the same way.
This for him is a huge wake up call. A second chance which few get. Before he was depressed and aimless. Now he realises he is being looked after by an angel in the form of his dead aunt. Use this unique opportunity to turn your life around and make a difference. Your background doesn't need to dictate your future.

A 16 year old was knifed this week at a party by another boy of his own age. He nearly died. He had to be resuscitated by a passing nurse as his heart had stopped. He is still in a coma and has to have numerous operations.
I was speaking to his relative. Her sister died last year and she had been cleaning out a cupboard where she found a birthday card. She had forgotten this card even existed but started reading it. It said, "Happy 18th birthday Matt." Matt is the 16 year old who has just been knifed.
Goosebumps. Sometimes the dead do still send us messages. And they're always messages of hope.

Your happiness is often invaded. A sick person needing attention, someone who needs a visit, a person who needs an ear. Often people need reassurance and you are the strong one. But don't give up your strength for others. By continually being asked for help and giving it you'll be sapped dry.
Stay strong by drawing on the power that's around you but assess your priorities in transferring that strength. Sometimes you must say "No" to survive. You'll feel guilty but you won't be hollowed dry and end up ill . Sometimes we all need to reassess our lives.

What happiness and joy come from the simple things in life. We're all so attuned into thinking that to attain success we have to work at it relentlessly. Success of course equals happiness. So we work and strain constantly until we're worn out with all the stress. When we have success everyone wants something from us and you're made to feel guilty for saying no.
But really this is not happiness at all. You wake up feeling happy if there's the sound of a bird outside your window. A simple kiss from the people you share your life with. A sharing feast with those around you. These are the happy times that make you smile and want to spread the wonder. Spend the day listening to your soul.

He's still sitting here, read the email.
My father had died two years earlier and had been cremated. The funeral home had said he would be scattered over a lake. His body had left us but I've always know that's not the end.
A letter arrived this week stating that this had never been done. His ashes were still on the shelf and what was to be done?
It was just a poke from him telling us all that he was still around and not to be forgotten. He was still with us all looking after us and protecting us. Sometimes he just needed to send us a reminder.
His body has now been scattered and we're still living in the glow of hope. His presence is with us now and we'll join him later. We're never left alone.
