A friend's wife has just died from a massive heart attack. Two weeks before this happened she told him she was going to die soon and that he needed to remarry. The main fear she stressed was that she was not to be kept alive as a vegetable. She made him repeat many times that this was not to be the case.
He replied, "Don't be silly you'll be here for many years." This is how we ignore the wishes of our loved ones as we try and hang onto them.
Two weeks later she was being flown to a hospital in a vegetative state. What was he to do? Luckily she died a week later. Be sad but happy for that person as well.

We live in an age of such fear. Children are taught to be afraid of everything. I saw a flying fish jumping out of  the water yesterday. What majesty and athleticism they display for the small time  they are alive. Their joy in being free. The children had to leave the water. The parents were screaming to their children to not go near this perilous beast. We 're teaching fear of happiness from an early age. We 're never to experience any joy in case it hurts us.
Our age is one if plenty but we're more afraid now than we've ever been.

Why are there only 39 tigers left in  the wild in Thailand? The rest are in cement cages in zoos often drugged so tourists can take photos with them. There are so few wild spots left on earth while we all dither about what to do.
In contrast there are nearly 9 billion humans alive . Imbalance or what?

Do you think we have no choice of the time of our death? Just look at the timing of Carrie Fischer's death and her mother Debbie Reynolds. Think that was random?
"She was very sad about losing Carrie and said that she would like to be with her again. Fifteen minutes later she suffered a severe stroke." After that they were reunited.
Death is random right?

Saturday 10 December 2016

Around the anniversary of John Lennon's death we must all examine why we can't give peace a chance.
Why do we always choose noise, noise and more noise as the background to our lives? Very few of us can enjoy just sitting quietly and focussing on now. We're all too scared of depressing thoughts entering our brains that take over and we can't control. So we have to have headphones or the television on in what we think of as a boring moment.
Change yourself first then change the world,

Saturday 3 December 2016

Towards the end of the year we all examine what happened that year. Often not much.
So much is put off until we think is the appropriate time.
Now is the best time for everything. Don't put anything off for a rainy day as that day is now.
Just do it.

The supermoon overlooked us this week. The ants looked up and were dwarfed by a mighty ball of light. We became so tiny beside it that you could only look on and marvel.
Ever thought that we are not as great as we think we are? The power is us but is also everything. We are the speck but reaching for the stars.
